Arsonist's fire destroys St. John Vianney Church
After celebrating the Saturday evening vigil Mass April 16 in the O'Callaghan Parish Center --- some 40 yards away from the burnt-out shell of St. John Vianney Church, which was set ablaze by one or more arsonists just 17 hours earlier --- Archbishop José Gomez pledged his support to still stunned parishioners, saying he looked forward to being at the dedication of their new church in Hacienda Heights.
